Golfing
Championship golf is just 5 minutes away at Fortune Bay Casino.  The Wilderness is the top ranked upscale public golf course in the country.  Giants Ridge is only 30 minutes away and has two championship courses.  The Legend and The Quarry are 2 of the finest courses in the Midwest.  Miniature golf is just 5 minutes away at the Pier 77 Miniature Golf.

Sightseeing
There's more than meets the eye in this part of northern Minnesota. Unique food, heritage, history and museums are all waiting for you to explore.

Shopping
Outdoor outfitters, craft shops, specialty stores and a nearby mall are all in the area for you to discover.

The Lake Vermilion area is on the edge of the famed Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Lakes outside and within the BWCAW hold some of the most fantastic fishing in North America. Listen to the call of the loon as you gaze into the star-filled sky, awaiting a glimpse of the northern lights.

Fishing

Catch walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, muskie and crappie. We have a bait shop with minnows, leeches and crawlers. Gas, oil, boat cushions, minnow buckets and landing nets are also available at the bait shop. Don't forget to check out the various Fishing Guides on the Lake below!

BWCAW

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness touches the northern shore of Lake Vermilion. There are guides that will take you on a fishing expedition into these remote waters.  Ask for details.

 

Docking & Launching

If you are a registered guest, docking for your boat(S) is free. We also have a 2-slip wet boathouse that is available on a first come, first serve basis.  There is an additional fee for this. Boat launching is at the Everett Bay Public Landing just 5 minutes away.

 

Swimming

We have a natural sand beach that slopes gradually into the waters. The swimming area is well-buoyed and has no drop-offs. Please bring your own beach towels. Children's life vests are available free of charge.

 

Tower, Minnesota

Bay View is located just 10 minutes from the town of Tower. You can get there by car, boat or snowmobile. Services include: Grocery, hardware, auto parts & services, garages, laundromat, bank, barber shop, hair salon’s, medical and dental services, restaurants, gift shops and an airport.
